A large carnival car in Etten-Leur has been completely destroyed by fire. During building, a fire started in the top of the car on Thursday evening. The shed in which he stood also went up in flames. “The worst nightmare of every construction club,” describes the Carnavals parade Etten-Leur. The carnival association wanted to participate in an open day next weekend.
“A big drama,” the parade organization calls it. A large part of CV was crazy to build fanatically when the fire broke out. “Fortunately, everyone could leave the building safely,” writes the organization of the parade.
“Despite frantic extinguishing attempts with the fire extinguishers present and extinguishing agents, there was no more saving.” It was about ‘a nice car with a lot of technology’. According to a sponsor, the club was already far from building.
The material damage is huge. “All materials, tools, constructions, control and techniques are gone.” All this had built the carnival club in years.
Winners
CV has been booming for more than twenty years of carnival cars. The club is more often the winner of the parade in Etten-Leur and in Breda, according to the parade organization. “We hope that they will all put their shoulders to the wheel and we can see them again in the parades in the future.”
The shed on the Hoge Bremberg in Etten-Leur was completely burned down on Thursday evening. The fire started around nine o’clock. The fire brigade was able to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings.
