May has started with summer temperatures and it looks like we’re getting more of that. According to weather service Meteovista, there is a good chance that the month will be warmer than normal. “In this case, a summer temperature of 25 degrees is not excluded,” it said.

“During the first half of May, occasional showers are possible, but there does not seem to be a lot of rain,” the weather service said. Temperatures fall back to usual values of roughly 15 to 20 degrees.
Summer 25 degrees
In the second half of the month there is a good chance that it will become a lot warmer again. “The signals are unanimous,” said Meteovista. “A warmer trend than usual seems likely. The values for this period are generally around 17 degrees at the sea to around 21 degrees inland. This means that warm days (20 degrees or higher) are certainly realistic. If the wind blows from the south for a little longer, a summery 25 degrees is not excluded from time to time.”
An occasional heavy rain or thunderstorm remains possible. “The weather models show a fairly common pattern for precipitation chances for the second half of May,” it said. “It will certainly not be a soaking wet period, because May is on average a fairly dry month,” the weather service said. “The dry moments will most likely dominate.”
