Tygo Gernandt’s career seems to be over: the weekly magazine Privé shocked us today with an eight-page article about domestic violence, drug use and a police report. “Black side.”
For the second year in a row, the weekly magazine Privé seems to be blowing up a career through revelations about domestic violence: while a year ago in January it was Theo Maassen who was unmasked, today it is Tygo Gernandt’s turn. It is very large on the cover of the show magazine. ‘Ex-girlfriends accuse Tygo: drugs and VIOLENCE!’
‘Sniffing like crazy’
The story we can read in Privé, and partly at The Telegraphis really very intense and, in addition to statements from his ex-girlfriends, also consists of, among other things, a police report, email correspondence with the police, nude images of Tygo, stills from video recordings of an apparent outbreak of violence, audio recordings and a statement from AvroTros.
Actress Dianne van den Eng speaks most extensively. Two and a half years ago, during a premiere, she suddenly stood in front of the Shownieuws camera as Tygo’s new girlfriend. Now she reveals that their relationship was extremely toxic due to his alleged drug use. “This man really snorts like crazy.”
‘Caught by the throat’
According to Dianne, things really got out of hand one time, namely when she allegedly caught him waiting for a coke dealer ‘with another chick’. “I ran inside past Tygo, who was carrying a handful of cash, but he quickly grabbed me by the throat and pushed me against the wall.”
And then? “Then he dragged me by my wrists and jacket twenty meters down the corridor and I was outside again in no time. My mother came straight from Harderwijk and took care of me that night. Due to his drug use, Tygo’s dark side continues to gain the upper hand. I have reported it to the police.”
Police report
That police report can be seen in Private, as can email correspondence with the police and stills from a video made of this incident. The magazine: “This indeed shows how the actor pulls his then girlfriend outside. “Get out,” he shouts thirteen times. Our editors also listened to an audio tape in which he admits to using coke.”
There are many more bizarre things in that article; Dianne casually reveals that Tygo is secretly a father: “He has a six-year-old son who, with his blond locks, also looks exactly like him. However, Tygo wants nothing to do with that boy, because he was the result of a one-night stand. Sad for that little guy.”
Instantly
Another striking passage in the enormous Private article is about his departure from Flikken Maastricht. “In reality, as Privé can now reveal, it appears to have been nothing less than summary dismissal.”
A ‘reliable source’ says in the magazine: “This man can’t take no for an answer when women don’t want him. They were intimidated behind the scenes, harassed, sometimes touched on private parts and it happened that he grabbed a person by the throat.”
What does AvroTros say?
The victim in question has been in therapy for a year, reports Privé. Ultimately, this would have been largely reimbursed by the producer. He does not want to comment, just like AvroTros: “We are not the makers, they are. We therefore do not comment and refer people with questions to them.”
In other words: shit is on the way. And Tygo himself? He denies everything. “That assault at Flikken Maastricht is not true and in terms of drugs, I have only been using sleeping medication all my life, because that sometimes doesn’t work. (…) Maybe I should get a lawyer involved.”
The complete, eight-page story about Tygo Gernandt can be read exclusively in the latest Privé.
