Grandson Lenny Kuhr seriously injured, singer travels to Israel

Ozz, the 19-year-old grandson of singer Lenny Kuhr from Eindhoven, was seriously injured in the battle in Israel. The teenager is fighting as a soldier in the Israeli army and was shot in the stomach. He was rushed to Tel Aviv, where he underwent surgery in hospital. Her management confirmed this after reporting from De Telegraaf.

The shooting took place in a kibbutz in the south of the country, where Ozz was sent with his unit. They were fired upon by Hamas fighters. A number of Ozz’s comrades did not survive.

The situation with Ozz is now stable. But the singer will travel to Israel on Saturday to support her two daughters and her four grandchildren. “Lenny knows what the risks are, but her motherly and grandmotherly feelings are too strong,” said Rob Frank, her husband and manager.

The singer plans to stay in Israel for two weeks. Kuhr’s grandchildren are 4, 7, 17 and 19. Ozz is the oldest. Her 17-year-old granddaughter will soon turn 18 and will have to join the army.

The singer, known for hits such as De Troubadour and Visite, states emphatically in a short message on Instagram that she does not want a discussion about politics. I pray for light. The light that we all are and that light that may triumph in this darkness. No words please. Just a candle as a symbol of love, compassion and hope.”
