Midnight local time marked the commencement of pre-orders for “Grand Theft Auto VI” in Germany, with the action-packed game scheduled for release on November 19 after multiple delays.
The overwhelming interest from potential buyers signals that this could be one of the most successful games in the history of the industry. Players have been waiting for quite a while, as the previous title in the series was released back in 2013.
Digital-Only Availability
Initially, “GTA VI” will be available solely on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Unfortunately, PC gamers will have to wait. Some users have expressed criticism regarding the game being available solely in digital form initially, meaning even those who purchase a physical box will receive only a download code inside.
Cars, Boats, and Crocodiles
With an estimated budget exceeding one billion dollars, “GTA VI” is set to be the most expensive entertainment product in history. Since its release in 2013, its predecessor has sold over 200 million copies.
“Grand Theft Auto” stands as one of the most renowned video game series globally, first launched back in 1997. The setting for “Grand Theft Auto VI” is anticipated to be a fictional version of the U.S. metropolis Miami. The trailers released so far feature thrilling car races, speedy motorboats, beaches, weapons, and of course, crocodiles.
