Formula 1 pilot Oscar Piatri has secured the pole position for Bahrain’s Grand Prix in the McLaren.
The 24 -year -old Australian also won the internal duel in the qualification on the desert course in Sakhir unexpectedly. Teammate and World Cup leader Lando Norris did not get beyond sixth place.
For Piatri, who has 13 points behind his British rival in the World Cup classification, it is the second pole this year and his career. In an exciting final phase of George Russell in the Mercedes in front of Charles Leclerc in Ferrari.
