The Council of Ministers today gave the green light for the expansion of flexi-jobs to all sectors. This was reported by Minister of Labor David Clarinval (MR). He will submit the text to parliament before the summer.

The flexi-job system has been in place since 2015. They were introduced to allow people who were already working or retired to do extra work in the catering sector.
Since then, the regime has been expanded to many other sectors and refined. This will now be expanded to all sectors, as was already foreseen in the coalition agreement.
According to Minister Clarinval, this is “an important step forward” for everyone who wants to work more to earn more. “It is also an important lever for our companies, which can more easily respond to activity peaks by temporarily calling on workers. This strengthens their competitiveness,” it said.
Unizo responds satisfied
“We are satisfied that progress has been made. It is now important that the decision regarding flexi-jobs is quickly passed by Parliament so that it is already in force this summer, the flexi season anyway,” UNIZO responds to the approval by the Council of Ministers.
These are “two important measures that respond directly to the needs of entrepreneurs and give them the space to organize their business in a more workable and profitable way,” says the employers’ organization.
