The federal government’s core cabinet has agreed on a reconciliation proposal to rescue wage negotiations between unions and employers. Our political editors heard this and confirmed the cabinet of Prime Minister Alexander De Croo. In the proposal, wages for private sector workers cannot rise above the index for the next two years.
