Government gives green light for Defense ‘quarter plan’: new army locations in Charleroi, Diest and Ursel, among others

The federal government has given the green light for Defense’s ‘Quarterly Plan’. With this large-scale restructuring, the army is implementing an important change of course: old bases are reopened, existing barracks are renovated and significant investments are made in new locations such as Charleroi, Diest and Ursel to facilitate the growth of the army by 2040.
