“A quiet boy who is willing to do and invest a lot,” Martin tells her about Ernest Poku. “How I experienced him in the youth is that he can also be impatient. He wanted to go to AZ 1 as quickly as possible. Only there is really a difference in intensity, speed of action and strength.”
Debut AZ in 2021
On August 14, 2021, Poku made his debut in the first team of AZ. Only since April of that year he played for Young AZ, after he was active with the amateurs of SV Robinhood and FC Amsterdam until 2019.
Now he shines at the European Championship. In the opening match, the fast attacker in injury time managed to drag a draw against Jong Finland (2-2) out of the fire and now he was successful again against Jong Portugal.
