Gorillaz release new song “Cracker Island” with Thundercat

Gorillaz have been on a world tour since April. Besides the usual hits like “Feel Good Inc.”, Damon Albarn’s virtual band also surprised fans with two new songs, as “NME” reported. One of them was “Cracker Island”. Now the studio version can be heard for the first time.

Damon Albarn got support from Thundercat for the song. The extravagant bass expert has already been awarded two Grammys and is featured on a Gorillaz track for the first time. “Cracker Island” was produced by eight-time Grammy Award-winning multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Greg Kurstin, Gorillaz and Remi Kabaka Jr. Listen here:

Gorillaz are on tour in Europe until July 5th as part of their world tour. On June 24th they stop in Berlin. Continuing the tour, the band will tour Australia again for the first time in 12 years, followed by performances in the United States in October.
