Gordon on non-active after insulting John de Mol? ‘How dares he!’

Gordon becomes de Mol despite insulting the big boss John not put on hold by Talpa. There is, however, irritation within the company about his statements. “How dare you say it?”

According to colleagues and critics, it is extremely unprofessional: Gordon shouts in front of every camera that he will fly the flag when his Talpa contract expires on December 1. It’s an incredibly lucrative contract, so where’s the sudden animosity coming from? The entertainer has now revealed it himself: he is at odds with the big boss John de Mol.

Nest fouler

While Gordon may be thankful for such a lucrative wage from John given his collapsed popularity, he is now fouling his own nest. According to the entertainer, John cannot take criticism and has therefore put him on the penalty bench. In addition, he blames the billionaire for not being loyal and writing you off when he no longer needs you.

Although one program after another, according to Gordon, deliberately passed his nose, he can still be seen as the presenter of Wat Een Invention from tonight. Everything is already on tape, except for the final, which will take place in two weeks. But will he still present that broadcast after his statements about John and Talpa?

Not on idle

Shownieuws star Bart Ettekoven wonders. “When that week’s podcast came out, the question was: does Talpa even want to work with this man? He said very ugly things about Talpa and he had already said once that he is happy and thanks God on his bare knees that his contract is about to expire, that the flag is flying with him.”

He continues in the show section: “In short: it is one big burden on his shoulders. I can imagine that a channel then thinks: if you don’t like it, then go. But we spoke to Talpa today and they let us know that despite all the statements he will simply present the final.”

Bad news

The fact that Gordon is not being put on hold is bad news for his colleagues on the shop floor, thinks Ronald Molendijk. “For those people who work on the floor there. Can you imagine having to work with a presenter who basically says to you all day: ‘What a shitty company here.’”

Bart: “No, it’s a lot of negativity. Especially if he’s not in a good mood.”

Ronald: “If you know that someone walks on the floor who has to chat the show together and everyone knows that the company for which he has to record that show thinks it’s an incredibly shitty company… Nice man. I’m really looking forward to it!”

On the other side of the desk, Patty Brard and William Rutten have to chuckle a lot.

‘How dare you?’

Bart and Ronald are not Gordon’s only SBS colleagues who are appalled. Evert Santegoeds is also stunned, he says in the podcast Strictly Private. “How dare you say it? That guy makes a million a year, I believe. Then I also want to go to the penalty box.”

Evert finds it laughable that Gordon now wants to make a program about the most expensive hotels in the world on a freelance basis. “Isn’t that what the public is waiting for?”
