Google removed several hundred YouTube channels and thousands of videos amid the situation in Ukraine related to the Russian military operation in the country, says in a company blog post.

“On YouTube, we host videos from trusted news sources and work hard to remove content that violates our policies. Over the past few days, we have removed hundreds of channels and thousands of videos, and we remain vigilant against false information, ”the message says.

Google said it is also blocking ads related to the crisis in Ukraine, the creators of which are “seeking to take advantage of the situation.”

The statement also says that the Google team is actively monitoring “the war in Ukraine” and is working around the clock, paying great attention to the safety of employees, users and customers.
