Good draw for Jong Ajax under the watchful eye of Van ‘t Schip and Henderson

In an entertaining match, Jong Ajax played 2-2 against FC Dordrecht. Head coach John van ‘t Schip and the newest addition Jordan Henderson also saw this. Julian Brandes and Jaydon Banel scored for the Amsterdam talent team.

Earlier this season, Jong Ajax lost 4-0 to FC Dordrecht. It seemed to be heading for a similar scenario, as coach Dave Vos’ team fell behind after six minutes. Julian Brandes’ stupid loss of ball ultimately led to a 0-1 deficit.

Error corrected

Yet Jong Ajax recovered in the first half. Thanks to goals from Jaydon Banel and Brandes, the team from Amsterdam went into halftime with a lead. The latter thus made up for his mistake in conceding the goal by being important offensively.

After the tea break, the Sheepheads pulled out all the stops to get another result. FC Dordrecht is doing well this season with sixth place and is fully competing for a play-off ticket.

Ilias Bronkhorst

Thom de Graaff was often able to make a save in the second half, but once the Amsterdam goalie had to fish. After about an hour of play, Ilias Bronkhorst scored the equalizer. It meant the third goal of the season for the former Telstar player and therefore the 2-2.

Due to the draw, Jong Ajax is now in fifteenth place. Next Monday, the Amsterdam promises will visit their peers from FC Utrecht.
