‘Good conversation with Remkes and the cabinet about nitrogen’

Gabriëls spoke with the other eleven deputies responsible for nitrogen in their province, Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Ministers Van Christianne der Wal (Nature and Nitrogen), Henk Staghouwer (Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality) and Hanke Bruins Slot (Internal Affairs). “First there was a joint message from the provinces, after which all twelve provinces were allowed to briefly give their opinion about the situation. In my contribution I did not say much other than the letter we sent as a province to the cabinet in July,” says Gabriels about the conversation he describes as ‘nice’. “It was good to get together.”
