Berlin (AP) – Former national soccer player Mario Gomez is to become technical director at Red Bull Soccer International.
This is what the “Bild” newspaper and “Sport-Bild” report. Gomez would therefore be involved in the strategic planning as well as the processes and structures. The aim is to support the three Red Bull clubs RB Leipzig, New York Red Bulls and Bragantino in Brazil.
“He is an absolute team player, bursts with energy and passion and is full of anticipation and zest for action in view of the tasks and challenges ahead,” said Leipzig’s managing director Oliver Mintzlaff. This season, Gomez was, among other things, a Champions League expert for Amazon Prime Video.
