‘Golf in piazza’ is back: appointment in Bergamo and Brescia

Saturday on the Sentierone and Sunday in Piazza della Vittoria: the initiative to introduce and try golf in view of the Ryder Cup at the end of September

After the success of Rome and Milan, “Golf in piazza” is back, organized by Federgolf in view of the Ryder Cup scheduled in Rome from 29 September to 1 October this year. This time it’s the turn of Bergamo and Brescia, the Italian capitals of Culture 2023, which for two days will be the protagonist cities of the initiative. It begins in Bergamo on Saturday 1st April along the Sentierone and continues on Sunday 2nd in Piazza della Vittoria, from 10:00 to 18:00.

The most anticipated guest will be the Ryder Cup trophy, an increasingly popular icon, available for photos and selfies. When there are less than six months left to the challenge between Team Europe and Team USA – which for the first time in its almost century-old history will be played in Italy, on the course of the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Guidonia Montecelio (Rome) – people will be able to learn about golf as an inclusive sport, for everyone and for everyone. As part of an educational and engaging discipline. And in the sign of the Ryder Cup 2023 Project which has the enhancement of the territory – from North to South – and of tourism among its essential points.

The Sentierone and Piazza della Vittoria are ready to transform themselves into a “green”. Thirteen test stations with many contests – but also animation and music activities – which will allow anyone who wants to show off their skills with the support of special instructors. For family-sized entertainment, between sport, promotion and solidarity. Many personalities from the world of sport and beyond are expected at the event. Starting with Costantino Rocca (who will be present in Bergamo, where he was born and raised), one of the pioneers of Italian golf and the first blue to have played, in 1993 (but also in 1995 and 1997), the Ryder Cup.
