The Golden State Warriors will have to do without superstar Steph Curry in the upcoming duel against the Miami Heat. The reason for this is an injury to the right ankle. This is evident from the NBA Injury Report.
Curry sustained the original injury during his crazy 49-point performance on Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs (109:108) in the NBA Cup. In the two subsequent matches against the New Orleans Pelicans (124:106) and Orlando Magic (113:121), the 37-year-old was still on the court, but the injury returned in Orlando.
Jimmy Butler (back) and Draymond Green (illness) are also questionable for the San Francisco team. Warriors officials, who removed Curry from the squad six hours before departure for Miami, are hoping for a comeback on Saturday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Head coach Steve Kerr’s team is currently in an unintentional travel mood; in the first 29 days of the new season they have already been on the road to twelve different cities.
After the Heat game on Thursday (1:30 a.m.), the Warriors will play five home games in a row.
