In the American Basketball League (NBA) play-offs, the Golden State Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks eliminated their opponents and advanced to the conference semifinals. The NBA play-offs continued with two games played in the first round.
In the Western Conference, the Golden State Warriors won the series 4-1, beating the Denver Nuggets 102-98 in Game 5 of the game. Stephen Curry stood out with 30 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, Klay Thompson 15 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals, Gary Payton 15 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists in the Warriors’ victory.
Nikola Jokic’s 30 points, 19 rebounds, 8 assists, DeMarcus Cousins’ 19 points, 4 rebounds and Aaron Gordon’s 15 points and 8 rebounds in the Nuggets could not prevent the defeat. The Warriors will face the winner of the Memphis Grizzlies-Minnesota Timberwolves (3-2) series in the Western Conference semifinals.
BUCKS ELIMINATED BULLS
In the Eastern Conference matchup, the Milwaukee Bucks won their fifth game against the Chicago Bulls 116-100 in a 4-1 victory in the series. In the host Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo had 33 points, 9 rebounds, Pat Connaughton 20 points, Bobby Portis 14 points and 17 rebounds. Patrick Williams scored 23 points, Nikola Vucevic 19 points and Coby White 17 points for the Bulls. The Bucks faced the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
