Ice hockey player Niko Hovinen and Susanna Hovinen (formerly Ilo) are married.
Susanna Hovinen shared the good news on Instagram.
– Just the two (three) of us this time, the caption says.
Susanna Hovinen is expecting the couple’s first child.
According to the publication, the two said their will to each other in Turku Cathedral on December 22. The wedding ceremony was held in the knowledge of a small circle.
– A huge cathedral and just the two of us, the priest, the cantor and the cameraman. A day and memories that we will never forget, Hovinen writes.
The couple has been together since 2023. In her publication, Susanna Hovinen explains the reason for the date of marriage.
– And before you guys come along the lines, the party hasn’t been canceled. Only a quick rescheduling to get even the youngest groom to join the party, the reasoning goes.
Hovinen is the Golden Lion from the World Cup in 2011. The 37-year-old goalkeeper currently plays for Helsinki IFK. He won the Finnish championship in the ranks of Tappara in the spring of 2023.
