The Golden Leaves Festival returns to the Steinbrücker Teich in Darmstadt on August 22nd and 23rd, 2026 – and remains one of the most charming fixtures in the German festival summer. The upcoming edition also promises a carefully curated program between indie, pop and electronic sounds – and we are presenting the two-day event.
The final line-up has not yet been confirmed, but – as in previous years – it will be revealed piece by piece and includes both (inter)national acts and exciting newcomers. A first wave of bands has already been announced. All information here.

Tickets: It’s worth being quick
Advance sales are already underway, traditionally in several price levels. Early bird tickets are already gone, tickets for the weekend are currently available from 87.20 euros.
Due to the deliberately limited capacity of only a few thousand visitors, the festival is regularly sold out early. If you want to be there, you shouldn’t hesitate too long – especially because Golden Leaves doesn’t focus on growth, but on quality and atmosphere.
Between the lake, trees and favorite bands
What makes the Golden Leaves Festival so special is less about size than feeling: no overcrowded campsites, no miles of paths, but a weekend like a musical late summer picnic among friends. The stage is nestled between trees, the Steinbrücker Pond glitters in the background, and the audience sits on the grass just as often as they dance in front of the stage. There are also lovingly curated food stands, small art installations and an overall decelerated festival experience that consciously sets itself apart from the mainstream.
From backyard to indie hotspot
Since its founding in 2012, Golden Leaves has developed from a mini event with around 200 guests to an integral part of the German indie landscape. Despite growing popularity, the original DIY spirit has been retained. Musically, the festival consistently focuses on a mix of indie, pop, alternative and electronic music – often with particular attention to artists who are on the verge of a major breakthrough.
