Golden chain of 10,000 euros from murdered Ferdi Mathilda has disappeared

The police are looking for a man with whom Ferdi Mathilda from Boxtel had arranged to meet the night before his violent death. He was supposed to meet him with another man in a casino in Eindhoven. She also wants to know where a gold chain worth 10,000 euros has gone.

Mathilda, 31, always wore it. When he was found dead in a parking lot in Eindhoven on November 28, 2019, he was no longer wearing it. He had been killed by severe violence. A knife and hammer were found near where he lay.

In the Bureau Brabant investigation program, images of Mathilda will be shown on Monday, six hours before he was found dead. His sister also speaks. It had already been announced that the golden tip will be rewarded with 15,000 euros.

Ferdi Mathilda was born and raised in Boxtel. He lived in a flat on the Hoogheem. His sister describes him as a proud father of a three-year-old daughter. “I became a man, because I became a daddy,” he said overjoyed after her birth.

“I love you, even if I never say it.”

The girl was everything to him. He also got along very well with his sister and her children. She said it was always fun.

In the program you can also hear recordings of Mathilda: “You know that I just love you all, even if I never say it.”

A police officer found Mathilda and immediately raised the alarm that Thursday morning in 2019. His body lay in the parking lot of the building of the Regional Information and Expertise Center (RIEC). This organization helps tackle organized crime.

The victim had nothing to do with that building. Furthermore, much is and remains unclear, but the police say that there are ‘new developments’. Modern detection techniques are used in the investigation, including in the field of DNA. She tries to figure out what happened.

A reconstruction shows how an acquaintance picks up Mathilda in Boxtel, on the night of his violent death. They have arranged to meet another man at the Fair Play Casino on Nieuwstraat in Eindhoven. They park their white Kia Rio on Kerkstraat.

On ‘real’ camera images you can see how the two walk to the casino, walk in and leave again after a short time. The third man didn’t show up. You can then see how the Kia drives over the Fuutlaan and disappears from view. What happened next, the police and Mathilda’s relatives still do not know after 3.5 years.
