Band Mooi Wark has received a gold record for the album Buck it up from 2008. The band received the gold record this afternoon in the Radio Veronica studio. An album receives the gold record certificate if it has been streamed at least forty million times.
On the album Buck it up contains several of the band’s classics, such as Behind the tent and In the bare ass. The latter song has now been streamed almost ten million times.
“This one belongs to all of us,” the band shouted on Facebook after receiving the record in the afternoon show of Wouter van der Goes and Frank van ‘t Hof. “We could never have done this alone. Thanks to everyone who listened, shared, played, booked, supported and continued to believe in us.”
It is the first gold record for Mooi Wark. The band did previously receive a gold award for it In the bare assbecause the song had been streamed a million times.
