Italy’s goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma rises to Manchester City to the best paid goalkeeper in the world after moving from Paris Saint-Germain. This was reported by the Roman daily “La Repubblica”.
The fixed salary alone would earn around 78 million euros net at the Skyblues by 2030-and thus more than ever a goalkeeper.
If the option is perceived for another year, another 19 million euros are planned. In addition, according to the report, annual bonuses of up to three million euros can be added. Two of them are tied to team goals: winning the Premier League and the Champions League. There should also be a bonus for games without a goal.
Donnarumma changed from AC Milan to Paris in 2021. After he had won the Champions League with PSG at the end of May and an extension of the contract (until 2026) was already under discussion, coach Luis Enrique decided to give preference to 23-year-old Lucas Chevalier. Manchester City then launched Donnarumma in the Premier League for 27 million euros. He succeeds Everson, who switched to Fenerbahçe Istanbul, the Seerson team.
