Goalkeeper and player advisor Wolfgang Fahrian died – football

In the Bundesliga, Fahrian played for Hertha BSC, 1860 Munich and Cologne Fortuna. Further stations were Fortuna Düsseldorf and the SSV Ulm 1846.

Between 1962 and 1964 he made 10 saves for the national team. “We are deeply saddened by the death of a true Fortuna legend and express our heartfelt condolences to all of Wolfgang Fahrian’s family and friends.”, wrote Fortuna Cologne. Fahrian played for the club from 1969 to 1976.

After his active career, he worked as a player consultant for a long time. His clients included Jürgen Kohler, Kevin Kuranyi and Kevin-Prince Boateng.
