GO ESL Pro League into the Quarterfinals

Forze defeated Ence on the final day of the group stage of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive ESL Pro League tournament. With a dominant 2-0 victory, the Russian e-sports organization clinched victory as the first in Group D and goes straight to the quarterfinals.

“First place in Group D of ESL Pro League Season 17. Very unexpected to be honest,” Forze Rifler Vladislav “Krad” Kravchenko tweeted after the win. “But I’m very happy to see how we played the situation in the rounds. We have to keep it that way for the next games and tournaments.”

On the first map, Overpass, the Russian players started very dominantly with 16:3. Momentum saw them gain ten more rounds on the second map, Anubis – until Ence caught up. In the end, however, it was Forze who was stronger and clinched the win by 16-13.

Alongside Ence and Forze, Natus Vincere and Team Liquid also qualified 2-0 each and secured one of the final spots in the upcoming playoffs. They start on March 21 with the round of 16, in which G2 Esports, among others, compete.
