Gloomy prospects with rapper Ufo361 and Berghain bouncer Sven Marquardt

44 Label Group returned for FW23 with a dark collection that feels at home in the dark Berlin techno clubs.

Instead of Berlin – or as with the first fashion show in Milan in January 2022 – the label of German DJ Max Kobosil decided to party during the Paris men’s fashion week. Some well-known DJs like the Belgian Amelie Lens played. The look book, in which some well-known faces of the German club scene could be seen, provided a closer look at the collection.

Dubbed Blame Society, the brand created looks for club kids of a bleak future, 44 Label Group announced this week. The collection relied on elements from street and outerwear – such as tracksuits, hoodies and windbreakers – which were given an alternative expression through pieces such as skirts and especially the styling. Materials like textured rubber and prints like a ’44 Euro’ note featuring the Kobosil skull and a fisherman with a balaclava completed the Rave Warriors uniform.

The collection gets even darker when it comes to the model cast for the FW23 lookbook. 44 Label chose Sven Marquardt, who makes techno fans in Berlin tremble as a Berghain bouncer, as well as the Berlin rapper Ufo361, who has already released his own capsule collections with Lacoste and Misbhv.
