The former Bundesliga coach Oliver Glasner reaches for the FA Cup with Crystal Palace. The Austrian team won 3-0 (1-0) against the Champions League quarter finalist Aston Villa in the first semi-finals in the Wembley Stadium in London.
Eberechi Eze (31st minute) and Ismaila Sarr (58th) provided the 2-0 lead of the Premier League team from London in front of more than 82,000 spectators from a distance.
Sarr (90.+4) increased to 3: 0 shortly before the end. The former Mainz Jean-Philippe Mateta even awarded a penalty (53.) shortly after half-time. The opponent in the final on May 17th is either Nottingham Forest or Manchester City who meet on Sunday.
Glasner once trained VfL Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany. With the Hesse, the 50-year-old triumphed in the Europa League in 2022.
Crystal Palace could now help the greatest success in club history. The previous two end games in the FA Cup were lost.
