Gladbach’s Beyer moves to England

Borussia Mönchengladbach has loaned defender Jordan Beyer to English second division club Burnley.

The loan is valid for the current season, as the club from the Lower Rhine announced. Beyer had not played a major role this season under new Gladbach coach Daniel Farke.

“Jordan approached us with the desire to try something else this season to get match practice,” said Borussia sporting director Roland Virkus.

Beyer moved to Mönchengladbach in his youth and went through all the youth teams there from the U16 onwards. The 22-year-old has made 36 Bundesliga and three DFB Cup appearances for Mönchengladbach so far.
