Special countdown in the capital of Hungary where, on May 6, the first leg of the Corsa Rosa will start
The countdown to the Great Start of the Giro d’Italia 105 begins, which will start on May 6 from Budapest (Hungary). A special Tissot countdown was inaugurated this morning in Hősök tere (Heroes’ Square) – Budapest, in the exact place where the first leg of the Corsa Rosa 2022 will move.
The departure

Hungary will host the Grand Start with two straight legs and an individual time trial. It starts on Friday 6 May with the Budapest – Visegrád (195 km), which will award the first Pink Jersey. Saturday 7 9.2 km individual time trial in the heart of Budapest. Last leg in Hungary – Sunday 8 May – from Kaposvár to Balatonfüred (201 km) on the shores of Lake Balaton – which winks at the sprinters, before moving to Italy. Both the first stage and the time trial will both start from the famous Heroes’ Square. Monday 9 first day of rest of the Corsa Rosa.
