The 10-year-old girl who was seriously injured in a collision on Dillenburglaan in Tilburg on Tuesday afternoon has died. The police reported this on Wednesday morning. The girl was riding a bicycle when she was hit by a car.
The emergency services responded en masse to the accident. Several ambulances were present and an air ambulance was also called. Behind a large privacy screen, the girl received help and was rushed to hospital. The help was of no avail: she died from her injuries.
There were two bicycles on the road at the time of the accident, the car had a heavily damaged windshield. The driver was arrested on Tuesday. The police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
