Ghostface Killah: Memoir “Rise of a Killah” announced

The Wu-Tang Clan member plans to publish his autobiography on May 14, 2024.

Ghostface Killah has confirmed that he will release his memoir, Rise of a Killah: My Life in Wu-Tang, in 2024. The book by the 53-year-old, who became a member of the Wu-Tang Clan in 1993 as a relative of RZA, is scheduled to be published on May 14, 2024. It is currently available for pre-order in three formats: hardcover, e-book and digital audiobook.

Insights into the artist’s life

According to the publisher’s website, the work of the musician, whose real name is Dennis Coles, is described as a “visual document” as well as an “authentic narrative account of the life of an artist.”

The autobiography will cover the rapper’s childhood on Staten Island, his relationships with family and friends, and the impact of crime and violence on his life. The work also focuses on his artistic development, a formative tour in Japan in the 90s and his relationships with the other Wu-Tang members.

Part of a tradition

So Ghostface Killah will be the latest member of the clan to release his memoirs. In 2021, Raekwon released “From Staircase to Stage – The Story of Raekwon and the Wu-Tang Clan,” while U-God shared “Raw: My Path to the Wu-Tang Clan” with the public in 2018.
