Ghent flooded with runners for Sofico Marathon: 18,000 participants from 60 countries, course closed to traffic until tonight

While the last participants of the already legendary Night Marathon in Ghent were still stumbling out of the Charlatan, runners were already warming up at the Topsporthal. Today the real Ghent Marathon takes place and it is bigger than ever: 18,000 runners from 60 countries, of whom 5,650 are actually going for the marathon distance. The event has quite an impact on mobility in Ghent.
