Sharing your location on Whatsapp is a neat way to show other chatters exactly where you are coming from. This way, relatives or acquaintances don’t have to worry about where you are in the Christmas traffic.
The feature is easy to enable. Open the desired group or conversation and press the + symbol in the lower left corner (on an iOS phone) or the paper clip icon (on an Android phone). Choose Location.
You can then decide whether you want to share your current location or use continuous location sharing. In the latter option, you can decide whether you want to share your location for 15 minutes, one hour, or eight hours.
Where are you going? Sharing the location can reduce unnecessary nervousness. However, you should remember that sharing also consumes the battery.
Here’s how to share high quality images on Whatsapp
Sending high-quality images is easy, although the feature can easily be overlooked.
Start sending the image as usual. Before sending, press HDicon either in the gallery view, while editing the image or after you have taken the image directly in the application.
In practice, HD quality means a less harshly compressed image, which is slower to send and takes up more space, but the image looks significantly better than a shot sent with basic quality.
Did you know? In the Whatsapp application, it is possible to choose whether the image is sent with compressed basic quality or less severely compressed HD quality.
