Course offerings and campus tour
The students came to the TH Lübeck from all over Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony. At the beginning, the participants were able to get an overview of what was on offer Courses of study and ask your questions to the study advisor Christian Verfürth. They received important tips from students at TH Lübeck, both on choosing a course of study and on the living situation. The students led the groups around the campus and showed them the most important “study places”. The students were able to get a taste of university life in practical workshops and lectures.
Alumni report: Unexpected careers and exciting twists and turns
Several alumni reported directly to the participants what they could do after studying at the TH Lübeck. These included, for example, former student Vivien Vergin, who founded the student group “Seagulls“, which has been building a racing car every year since 2018.
Electrical engineering meets USA
Alumna Mareike Redder reported enthusiastically about hers Electrical engineering Studied at the TH Lübeck and encouraged all participants to take the opportunity to go abroad. She herself spent a year at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. After graduating, she worked in a software company, then returned to the TH Lübeck to work for the Science Center for Intelligent Energy Use to work. Today she is a product manager at Triovega GmbH.
Well designed medical technology
Jessica Kubat encouraged the participants that even a path that doesn’t seem straight at first can be the right one. After graduating from high school, she initially trained as a nurse and realized how important well-designed medical products are to make the work of medical staff easier. “I had the best time of my life at the TH Lübeck,” she says above her Biomedical engineering Studies. Today she is the quality manager and business owner of K2C MedTech.
Friederike Flohs sums up the trial course for herself: “I particularly liked getting an insight into it Student Union to get financing options for your studies. I now know that I should definitely try applying for a scholarship. The conversations with the alumni “were informative and inspiring,” said the 18-year-old.
Frederik Heitmann adds: “The insights showed me that life doesn’t always have to be a straight line and that you can change your mind when choosing a career.”
