Germany is ready to pay a high economic price for the security of Ukraine, German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock said during a visit to the country. Broadcast The briefing was conducted on Facebook of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

“Against this background, I want to emphasize that due to the close economic relations of all partners and, above all, my country, yes, we are also ready to pay a high economic price for this, since we are talking about the security of Ukraine,” the minister concluded.

Shortly before the talks between Burbock and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, it became known that her planned meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky was cancelled. Kuleba, who also attended the briefing, explained that the decision was made due to scheduling issues and was not a “political signal”.
