German wrestler waves EM coup

Wrestler Pascal Eisele waves bronze at the European Championships in Budapest.

The 2017 World Championship third placed will fight for the medal in the class up to 82 kilograms on the last day of competition against Yaroslav Filchakov (Ukraine) or Burhan Akbudak (Turkey).

Eisele (29) failed in the semifinals against Gela Bolkvadse (Georgia).

Franz Richter (130 kg) lost in the small final for bronze by a razor-thin 1:1 points, his opponent Konsa Mäenpää (Finland) won the fight based on the last score awarded.

Etienne Kinsinger (63 kg) lost his bronze fight against Olexander Hrushyn (Ukraine) 2:5. Richter and Kiesinger each finished fifth.
