After the first round in Wimbledon with all side effects, Alexander Zverev apparently has a new path. He is currently training in the Rafael Nadal Academy in Mallorca with Toni Nadal – the uncle and long -time coach of the resigned Spanish superstar.

The Nadal Academy posted photos and videos of one unit on Monday that “Sky” had first reported in Germany. Zverev’s management and Toni Nadal did not comment at first.

Grand Slam victory As a main drive

Rafael Nadal resigned in November last year. With 14 French Open titles, the Spaniard is considered the best player in history on sand-the topping, on which Zverev also hopes for the longed-for first Grand Slam-TriPHP power.

So far, Zverev has mainly been trained by his father Alexander Zverev Senior. His brother Mischa is always at his side as a manager and guide. “The father and the brother did it excellently, but for the last step it wasn’t good enough”Boris Becker had recently criticized: “You have the impression that he plays against the top players in the same leader and hopes that the result will be good.”

Many coaches over a short period of time

Becker had recently recommended changes in the area and on the coaching post – which had caused the upset at Zverev. “I think if I go well with me, I always do everything right. And if things go badly, then everyone is always very, very smart. Unfortunately, Boris is part of it”criticized the 28-year-old in Stuttgart.

In the past, Zverev had already worked with coaches outside of his family: Juan Carlos Ferrero, Ivan Lendl, David Ferrer and most recently Sergi Bruguera. “But they all left the boat after half a year.said Becker in his podcast “Becker Petkovic”.

After his defeat in the first round in Wimbledon, Zverev had announced that they wanted to change things. However, this does not necessarily have to have something to do with tennis. He hoped to be able to give further answers at the Masters 1000 tournament in Toronto, Canada at the end of July, said Germany’s number 1. He had canceled his start at the ATP tournament on Sand in Gstaad.
