German team starts unhappy in the Six Invitational

The German Rainbow Six team Rogue was defeated by Team Liquid 0:2 in the first game of the Six Invitational. “Losing the first game is a tradition,” Rogue’s captain Leon “LeonGids” Giddens tweeted after the game. “On to the next one.”

Other European teams also suffered losses on the first day of the World Cup in Rainbow Six: Siege. The European champion from Switzerland, Team BDS, was not able to convince against the Latin American team Furia Esports (0:2). Similarly, Natus Vincere lost to Oxygen Esports.

As the only German team at the tournament, Rogue surprised everyone by successfully qualifying for the Six Invitational. Despite the defeat, commentator Harry “Demo” Dempster praised the team’s performance: “They have potential, but it wasn’t their day.”
