Lindsey Vonn twisted with statements about her knee, Wasmeier accuses the American in an interview with “Sport1”. “She said she got an artificial knee,” said the 61-year-old.
Wasmeier felt this as “quite a fool, because that would have been really dangerous. If you fall, you no longer have bones where you can repair anything. Then you can amputate your leg”.
With an artificial knee you can “wag a little more on the ski slope,” emphasized the German ski legend.

Vonn’s achievements since her comeback in the Ski Alpin World Cup shortly before Christmas praised Wasmeier. “I would not have thought that it was going so quickly. She really made herself fit. I have respect that,” said the nine -time World Cup winner and world champion of 1985.
He even trusted the 40-year-old at the World Cup in Saalbach (Austria). This is also a “poverty certificate” for the competition, rumbling Wasmeier. “The fact that an older athlete, especially since she had already stopped, can still place herself in the top 10.”
