Lillehammer (dpa) – At the opening jump of the Raw Air Tour in Lillehammer, the German ski jumpers had to admit defeat.

In the absence of Katharina Althaus and Juliane Seyfarth, who were missing due to corona, the athletes did not make it into the top 15. Luisa Görlich finished 16th in the World Cup jumping as the best German, Selina Freitag had to put up with 29th place.

The Japanese Sara Takanashi secured the day’s victory in Norway. Slovenia’s Nika Kriznar came second, third place went to Olympic champion Ursa Bogataj from Slovenia.

The competition was included in the program as a replacement for the World Cup in Sapporo, Japan, which was canceled at the beginning of January due to the effects of the corona pandemic.
