Iris Stalzer (57), the German mayor of the municipality of Herdecke (North Rhine-Westphalia), is no longer in danger after she was stabbed at her home on Tuesday. The police assume a family conflict. Neighbors reportedly heard Stalzer arguing with her 15-year-old adoptive son before the incident. The woman was also attacked with a knife in the past by her adoptive daughter (17).
