Biathlon star Janina Hettich-Walz has recently become a mother. The two-time vice world champion has shared cute baby updates on social media in the past few days.

On February 25th it was finally time: “You are finally here! Welcome to the world, little Karlotta,” wrote Janina Hettich-Walz on Instagram and also published a photo on which her daughter clasp her finger.

In the meantime, the 28-year-old has shared further impressions of her first days as a mom.

“Karlotta and I have recovered well from birth and slowly arrive at three in the new everyday life. The days are filled with breastfeeding, sleeping (when the baby is sleeping), cuddling, walks and first easy regression exercises,” reveals Hettich-Walz.

The article was provided with photos that she showed with husband Kai and stroller in bright sunshine. “The little one enchants us every day,” enthused the ski hunter on March 5.

Now she followed more snapshots. “Little ‘Sunday walk’ on roles in spring-like temperatures,” commented Hettich-Walz a picture and a video in sporty outfit. You can see how she goes for little Karlotta on inline skates in the stroller.

Biathlon: Comeback plan is standing

Hettich Walz missed the entire season due to her pregnancy. The two-time German champion wants to be back in the upcoming biathlon winter.

“In the 2025/2026 season, it is my goal to be part of the team again and take part in the Olympic Games in Milan. There are now many examples of athletes who have successfully returned to the top of the world after pregnancy-that would also be my plan,” the 28-year-old revealed in the previous year.

Hettich-Walz had celebrated its greatest career success in the Czech 2024 in the Czech Nove Mesto by winning the silver medal in singles. In 2021 it was also enough with the season in Pokljuka in Slovenia, and in 2024 it was bronze.
