Technical director back in the Netherlands after American adventure
ROTTERDAM – Gerard Nijkamp (51) is back in the Netherlands as technical director of Sparta Rotterdam. After more than two years at FC Cincinnati, the rookieclub in the American MLS that was literally built from the ground up. At the beginning of August he left the club where he took Ron Jans and Jaap Stam as trainers and took Kenneth Vermeer and Jurgen Locadia under contract, among others.
