Gerard Joling really traveled to Almere to be Raymond Mens’ sweetheart, thinks Valentijn Driessen’s dentist. “They did it with each other. That one has been. That one has stopped by.”
It caused surprise among his colleagues from Today Inside: the move of Raymond Mens and his friend – also Raymond – from bustling Haarlem to quiet Almere. They now live there, a bit outside the hustle and bustle and without overly curious neighbors. And, as it now turns out: above all, there is plenty of room to go about their business undisturbed…
‘Always looking forward!’
Gerard Joling has revealed that Raymond has a rather horny boyfriend at home. “I talked to him about sex the other day here, it was after the broadcast, and then I said to him, ‘Do you have a boyfriend? Well, let’s see.’ A very handsome boy,” he says at the bar Today Inside.
Raymond then: “Definitely, definitely, definitely.”
Gerard: “I say: ‘Well, pooh, I would love to go there someday, wouldn’t I…’ Then he says: ‘You can go there in a moment, because he always wants sex and I don’t really feel like it, because I’m always away!’”
Raymond: “That’s right. That’s right.”
The day after
René van der Gijp finds it hilarious. “Hahaha. I don’t think you meant to say that here, Gerard!”
Gerard: “I already did it.”
Raymond: “In fact, he was there the next day!”
Gerard: “I always say this: you should let the pony graze! It was around the corner! Almere! What more could you want?”
Raymond: “Yes, he says: ‘It was on the route’, so he immediately drove by.”
Gerard: “Yes, these are not jokes!”
‘It’s real!’
Johan Derksen discusses a day later in VI, yesterday evening, that he believes this really happened. “Didn’t you have the idea that Gerard thought he had really had something with that friend of Raymond’s?”
Table guest Valentijn Driessen then: “Well, certainly. I was at my dentist, dentist Kees, and he also said: ‘They did it together. He has been. He has been by.’”
Johan: “That seems to be a very horny boy from Norway, right?”
Valentine: “Yes, a young boy.”
Friend angry
Wilfred Genee mainly wonders whether Raymond’s friend is not angry now. “I said, ‘Do you think your friend likes this, that all this was said?’ He says: ‘No, but he doesn’t hear it anyway, because he can’t understand it.’ I said: ‘Everyone knows this now, so someone must have started telling him about it by now.’”
Valentine is surprised: “Yes, because he also goes to the supermarket or the dentist, right?!”
