GERETSRIED/MUNICH (dpa-AFX) – For the second time in seven days, Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) is on the road in Bavaria on Thursday. In Geretsried, south of Munich, Scholz first wants to visit a geothermal project: A Canadian company is building a commercial geothermal power plant there with innovative technology. Bavaria’s Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) and Federal Research Minister Bettina Stark-Watzinger (FDP) will also be there.
In the late afternoon, Scholz is at an election campaign in Munich: In a discussion with the top candidate in the state parliament, Florian von Brunn, he wants to ask questions from the public. Just last Friday, Scholz appeared together with von Brunn at an election campaign rally on Munich’s Marienplatz./ctt/DP/stw
