George Michael’s album “Older” appears as a limited deluxe box

On May 13, 1996, LISTEN WITHOUT PREJUDICE VOL. was released, six years after its predecessor. 1 George Michael’s third solo album OLDER. In Germany it stayed in the charts for 57 weeks and reached platinum status, in Great Britain it even stayed in the status for 116 weeks and generated six-fold platinum status with its sales. The singles “Jesus To A Child” and “FastLove” have become indispensable in the nineties. On December 25, 2016, the legendary singer and musician, who formed part of the pop duo WHAM! became famous at the age of 53. Now he and his music are being remembered again: On July 8, 2022, OLDER will be released again – as an limited box set, double LP, double CD and digitally.

George Michael composed and produced the eleven songs on OLDER himself. For the new edition, they were remastered from the original tapes. The record company responsible for this also reports:

“Also, ‘Upper’ is available on vinyl for the first time ever in the deluxe edition, and the box also includes ‘Older’ and ‘Upper’ in the CD version. The set includes a total of five CDs and three LPs, which are supplied in a sturdy slipcase. A 48-page booklet completes the set, featuring rare and previously unseen photos, as well as a brand new essay by Dan Davies detailing the album’s backstory. In addition, fans can look forward to three stylish 30×30 cm George Michael posters, which are also included in the box.”

George Michael himself once said of OLDER: “I think I composed the best, most healing piece of music that I’ve written in my life with this album… Older is my greatest moment.”
