George Ezra’s third album, GOLD RUSH KID, will be released on June 10, 2022. The first single “Anyone For You” including video can already be heard.
“The Gold Rush Kid? That’s me,” says Ezra about the choice of title for his new long player. He also says about the songs: “What unites them all is that every single one of them sounds exactly like me”. The singer produced the album together with his longtime musical partner Joel Pott in London. A first home game for the Brit, because the songs for his first album WANTED ON VOYAGE (2014) were written on an Interrail trip through Europe. For the work on his second album STAYING AT TAMARAS (2018), the songwriter went to Barcelona for a month. Both albums reached number one in the UK charts.
Now “Anyone For You” is the first single from Ezra’s third long player. “‘Anyone For You’ is a patchwork of lyrical ideas I found in old notebooks and random moments that came about with other musicians in the studio,” says the singer. “It’s joyful and contagious, and I can’t help but smile every time I sing it.”
