Middelkerke takes the place of Ypres, which in recent years was the starting point for Ghent-Wevelgem. But the high budget of 120,000 euros per year was a bit too heavy for the Cat City, which proposed at most alternating with another starting location – every other year – or less.
And now Middelkerke is jumping on the bandwagon.
