GDR legend “Paule” Seguin about his son: “He’s better than I’ve ever been”

European Cup winner Wolfgang “Paule” Seguin is delighted that his son Paul is moving to 1. FC Union Berlin for the coming season. “I think that’s excellent and I hope that he will make his way at Union,” said the record player from 1. FC Magdeburg to BILD.

“Paul always had a dream of being close to his mom, so his dad didn’t really matter. But Köpenick is only 130 kilometers away from us, so I can even cycle there,” joked the 76-year-old.

He playfully praised his son: “He’s better than I’ve ever been. Paul is an absolute team player, his strengths are his game overview, he is technically strong, passes passes very well.” On Tuesday it became known that the 26-year-old changes from SpVgg Greuther Fürth to the Irons.
